George and I headed over to Sandra's house after school and spent some time working there. Apparently we stayed there a really long time. I left her in the car asleep once we got home and she woke up screaming like she'd been stabbed just as I was headed back to the car to get Fred and Jr. from their after school activities. (ok so we apparently just spent time together in the car but it's a cute picture)
Jr loves to cook and finished her homework early so she could help with dinner. She had the BEST time browning the meat for the sloppy joes. She's finally tall enough and careful enough that she is a real help. I will definitely be more willing to let her help out in the future.

Valinda,
You have great kids! My mother felt that my sister and I needed to learn how to cook, so in high school we were forced to cook the dinner two nights a week. Now I am grateful, but back then I really didn't want to. Heh.
Well, at least Georgie looks comfy even if it was "fake" time together.
Valinda learned to crack an egg before she was 2 (for cookies) and was encouraged to help cook as soon as she could carry the cookie sheet to the oven with all the cookies staying on the sheet...not necessarily still in their original places. I have always been very impressed with the opportunities she gives the girls to help bake, etc and how much my squirrels get to 'cook' ;-} Great job Ddonn and amazing cooking JR! xoxoxox
