Rainiest place in the US?

ElCid banned my beautiful home, the Pacific Northwest, from the list of places we would ever live when we were first married. Being in England for 2 years killed his desire to live someplace like this. It was sad for me but I always thought I might be able to change his mind. Yes, I was a naive young bride.

Being home always makes me sad that I've never been able to get him to change his mind. I'd like to clear up a few common misconceptions about this area. It rains every day (scroll down to the bottom Tacoma isn't listed but we're between Olympia and Sea Tac both on the list). It rains more here than any where else. Because of the weather it's the suicide capital of the US. It's always super cold and yucky. You never see the sun. (click on climate and scroll to the bottom) I've been here 5 days and it's been fully sunny each day, in fact it hasn't rained in 23 days. The record is 51 days with no rain. That is really the only common complaint I find to be true.

As side tangent for all my fellow Twilight fans here's a brief over view of Forks which is 4 hours from here and you shouldn't come through here to get to Seattle also while I'm griping it's about 40 min. from LaPush not like 15. Yes, I do still get bothered. I know after reading the whole set like 6 times each I ought to get over it. As you can see it is way wetter but about the same in overcast days.

Since I share in the same predicament - a wonderful hubby that refuses to ever live in WA - I have to say that I LOVED the fact that most of the top 10 suicide rate cities have a desert climate! :P :P :P Even though I lost the battle for WA, Werty did concede that OR might be a good place to live.

Tacoma only has 2 months more of rain than Boise, that isn't that much more.....

Oh & the Vegas suicide rate is skewed by tourists who lose all their money and then commit suicide.

OK, Washington is a nice place to VISIT :-) As I recall I about froze to death when I was there! (And it NEVER snows...yeah, another fallacy!)
