Several weeks ago we noticed that someone had spray painted on our street and side walk. ElCid and I knew enough to be concerned but the kids just though it was fun.
Then they cut deep grooves in the street and sidewalk where they had painted.
Then last week they left us a notice that said hi we're going to tear up your street and curb to fix the gutters (no really) and you can't park on your street or get out of your street from 7 am - 3pm for all of next week.
This morning promptly at 7 am they started working and shaking my whole house. We live at the intersection of our cul-de-sac street and the "main" street they're working on. Scooping up big chunks of street, curb and side walk and then dropping it is LOUD and a little rattling for those of use near by. I think it's going to be a long week, and my poor car is out on the street over night! ACK!!!!

Did you notice how they knocked over the street sign when they scooped out that section of concrete?

How awful! I hate that they can start making noise at 0700 - regardless of how your night went!
Maybe it won't be as noisy once they get past the tearing up stage.

What the crap is going on there? If you lived here, they probably would not tear up your street, but they do turn off the water without warning!
