In Ten Years

I remember 10 years ago, it was a confusing, horrible, day.
I try to explain to the girls how it felt and why we remember.

As I think about everything that has changed in the last 10 years I wonder will life be like in 10 years?

Hopefully I won't have people staring at their sisters to make them scream.
Fred and Jr will be busy college students (maybe even married!) and probably won't live at home.
My counters will stop spontaneously producing mystery goo. (I hope)
George will be a Senior in high school.
Will ElCid still be at the same job?
Will I still be making Princess dresses?
All 3 girls will be able to drive, how many gray hairs will that give me?

Obviously this list could go on forever but what I've learned over the last 10 years I hope to take into the next 10 years. Life moves fast. Babies grow quickly. Slow down. Find joy in every day.  Take time to just be in the moment, not thinking about the next.Maybe I'll get better at some of these things in the next 10 years and hopefully when I get that far I will still be able to look back and smile like I can today.

They will probably be laughing about how they used to stare at each other to provoke a screaming fit.
I would love to take "in the moment" lessons, life is moving at close to light speed from my current vantage point!
As for your smile ~ I'm believing it will be even bigger 10 years from now

A LOT can change in 10 years. Hopefully it will be a good ride!
