Not Responsible??

This morning I was driving on the beltway behind a large truck with one of those obnoxious "Warning stay back 200 feet not responsible for broken windshield" signs that you can't actually read from 200 feet away talking to Nan on the phone. Suddenly a SHOVEL flew out of the truck. A large flat rock SHOVEL. I swerved to miss it and so did the car behind me. I told Nan the license plate number as we approached a light. The other car stopped and told the truck they had lost the SHOVEL at the light and turned. The truck went through the light and pulled over, as I drove past I happened to catch the number on the side and read it to Nan who called the people to let them know that I don't care what the back of the truck says and even if their load is covered if my car is hit by a SHOVEL my lawyer will be calling them! Nan said the girl who answered the phone wasn't all that concerned until Nan got to the part that it was a SHOVEL that flew out of the truck.

In other news Winter Break is here!! I am so glad we all need a break, besides my house and sewing machines need to be cleaned before I'm back to work in Jan.

The girls all had fun at school today with their various parties and festivities. We also wrapped up Parent Teacher Conferences this morning and yep sure enough everyone loves our smart little cuties. Fred's teacher would gladly adopt her. Jr's teacher thinks she's a superstar and an amazing helper. George's teacher thinks she's just darling and loves her but George could use words more often to express herself :). Good thing Teacher Barbie loves us!

Christmas is coming and we can feel it, can you?

That's odd cuz I recall George being told to use her words numerous times so you'd think she would have caught on by now...

I don't know. If you are following so close that you can't dodge a shovel, it probably is your fault.

Tell Fred's teacher to get in line!!! Of course JR is amazing...she is very detail oriented. And if you are as cute as George, not to mention the youngest, words are vastly over-rated...a little fit or foot stomp is far more satisfying. We feel Christmas sneaking 'round the corner... xoxoxox
