Well paint me surprised, and blue?

I honestly thought America was too old and too white to elect Obama but it obviously happened. It surprises me how different my kids will grow up because of all the political changes that have happened in the last few years.

As a side note 15 minutes after they called the race my car ran over a nail and flattened the front passenger tire...omen or coincidence? You decide.

I too was shocked....We will see how long he lasts!!! BTW I wasn't trying to dis ur CARNIVAL. But Vinnie's community center didn't pay any one to help they had kid volunteers. So they saved a heap of money there.

a taste of things to come...
my shock came when they elected Clinton to a second term knowing what a piece of work (immoral) he was - so I voted today knowing that there were enuf of 'them' out there to outnumber us old white folks clinging to our guns and religion. "last days" keeps ringing thru conversations today

I wasn't surprised. Not at all. Maybe it's because I heard it thru the grapevine that some republicans in congress were expecting it, or because I spent the last month teaching 200 kids how to read and follow an electoral maps of 2004 vs. 2008 predictions, or maybe because I spend my days with idealist teenagers. I don't know if I have ever seen the youth or the international community get so excited about an American election.

The questions is: what will he end up actually doing? Will he stand up for his own mind or just tow the party line?
