3...

If I have to get older because I'm having a party, maybe I'll cancel the party...

1982 - I'm the one being restrained by the forehead.
I really didn't have any other pictures of me.

What is important today? Presents. Not getting presents, giving them. No, really! I love buying something (preferably for a killer deal) for someone knowing they will be really happy and excited to get it. I like giving surprise presents for just no reason.

ElCid's sister KT gave us a book called the 5 love languages and one of those "languages" is gifts. That is definitely how I show people I care for them, or that they are my friend.

Sometimes I go overboard with my kids. It makes them less appreciative of things and spoils them totally and I really don't like the end result, but it's hard to not give them things I know they will enjoy. :)

ElCid doesn't like to get presents. It's very strange, I know. I'll give him something and it will sit in our closet for a year and then I'll give it to him again, and he doesn't notice it's a re-run. Sometimes I tell him and sometimes I don't. I suppose if he doesn't notice then it doesn't matter.

I do like to receive presents. Even just little things and of course thoughtful presents are the best. ElCid doesn't really like to buy presents either but I know he loves me anyways. I'm training my girls to give me presents and that's all good!

No, silly! The party softens the blow. Either way, you are getting old.

Werty and I went to a marriage class where we learned about love languages for the umpteenth time - and I think I was the only one in the class with gift giving as one of my languages. I blame you. Physical touch was the most common love language in the class, btw.

Gifts are nice ;-} And if there isn't a ready excuse, "Happy Prize Day!" always worked at our house.

I think you were being encouraged to look up towards the camera, I'm not believing you had any intention of leaving the shot, you always loved picture taking as a little kid.
