1990 - I'm about to start getting cute again I promise!

Okay this one is evil, I know it, but caller ID is important to me.

I do talk on the phone thousands of minutes a month but sometimes I'm busy trying to get something done. Sometimes I'm trying to take a nap. Sometimes I can't deal with the drama that whoever is calling me brings.

I like the choice that caller ID gives me. Do I answer this restricted call and risk a stupid tele-marketer call or is Moga calling on her card? It's like that space on the wheel in Wheel of Fortune is that $10,000 under there or is that bankrupt?

So if I don't answer your call you're just going to have to wonder is she busy? Or am I not making the screen today?.....

I don't bother guessing, I go to her life is too crazy to answer me today... crazy covers busy, stressed, and all the other choices that might apply ;-}

So, I will mention here that I am on two antibiotics for diverticulitis, made it to a doctor last night after 3 days of increasing pain... at least it is a milder attack than last March! I am very grateful for that tender mercy.

I love, love, love caller id! It just makes it nice so you know if you can ignore them for a sec or if it is important. Example, if you call me and I am cleaning up puke or some other gross thing, I can say, "She would rather have me call her back later." So convenient

I agree with redheadsmom. Definitely better to have the option :)

i've never called so i guess i'll keep it that way and never know if you'd answer or not.

Do you realize how many of items on your thankful list relate to the phone? It's a little funny to me. I've never had caller ID, although sometimes it is handy that my sister has it and can call me back after her nap or whatever. I guess it would come in handy - we could differentiate between an emergency late night call from my sister and a call from Werty's younger newlywed sibling and best friend who call really late because they forget that I have to wake up everyday at 5am.

Zanne, the phone is very important! You get a little attached when it is your only "line" to the adult world.
