10...

Starting to hyperventilate over here! Why didn't I listen to you J.Lo??

This the me in the fifth grade - middle row, 2nd from the left

Today "western" medicine is important to me. Probably because I'm getting a cold. I don't have time for a cold. I need to get my dump site (aka my house) presentable for Jr.'s party next Friday. I need to make 12 pairs of pajama pants, mop my floor, make sure I have all the items for the scavenger hunt, find the counter tops, make sure I have all the items for the makeovers (hair and make-up), scrub the bathroom Mommy clean, make sure I have all the items for the overnight bag decorating, get the costumes out of the living room, get the cake made, buy a super cool popcorn maker like Flo's (check). See like I said no time!

I have several siblings who are a little more alternative when it comes to health care and that is great I take some of what they tell me and I use it, the rest I think is fine for them.

Obviously western medicine played a huge roll in my children's births and I'm grateful for the care that I received. Had my kids been born even 15 years ago things could have gone a lot different.

*snuffle* I'm get started on that list now. *weak cough*

The biggest problem with you turning 30 is that I am never far behind! It's nice having a 2 at the beginning of my age. My students asked me today how old I was. I said, "Old." "How old?" "I can probably remember when you were born." "No you can't." "When were you born?" "1992." (Dude I could tell you so much about that year, I thought to myself.)"In 1992, I was in middle school." "That's scary." "I told you, I'm old."

I am very fond of the medical community just now, me and my cysts and kidney stones... I also enjoy some of the cool naturepathic (sp?) things... like people paste, and to a lesser extent, super tonic and slippery elm.

And there was that emergency c-section that got JE here alive and well ;-}
