46 hours and counting!!!

Last night was open house and I think it went well. We sold most all of the t shirts we had on hand, took several orders for more and it looked like lots of people signed up to help.

My favorite parents are the ones that walk past the table looking curious and when you let them know that these are volunteer sign up sheets for the PTSO events held throughout the year the cringe, visibly shudder and whisk their kids away. These are most likely the same parents that complain when said events don't run smoothly or are under manned.

My board is really great and I'm excited to get things done this year. The Principal is asking PTSO for technology carts for classrooms the cart has a computer with Internet, a projector, speakers and ... something else, I can never remember but they are really cool and a great classroom tool.

Of course George has Teacher Barbie for K and I know that we love her already. I'm just not sure if I will still be her favorite Mommy Helper by the end of the year, I actually have competition in that area from 3 of my friends!

Jr has Coltfan (the name is a suggestion of the teacher) and I'm super excited because I've heard great things about her and she's really nice. 2 of my friends had her for their girls last year and just rave about her. I subbed for Barbie at Bunco last night (some jerk stole her phone from under her nose during Open House so she had to deal with all that drama) and Coltfan is in the group. I got to hear about a few more programs they are rolling out this year and I can't wait!

Fred has ... hmmm ... I don't have a good name for her as I know her the least ... let's steal from Junie B and go with Ms. I made it to her classroom after the whole thing was practically done as I was stuck behind a table selling t shirts :). She was really nice and friendly and I was given free rein of her bulletin board for the year! (PTSO was also given a bulletin board to do, maybe it's time to convince ElCid I need that Cricut!) So Em that one year you had a Mommy Helper do that for you, do you have any suggestions? In talking to her I let her know Fred reads, writes and draws like mad but isn't so into math and Ms. said math is actually her thing so I'm hoping by the end of the year Fred will know those math facts!

On Monday at 9 I'm going to breakfast with my friends and there will be 2 babies in tow but no kids! I am so excited, does that make me a really terrible mom?

No, it makes you one with no kids at home! Yay!

Exactly! When you get really old, like your mom for instance, you will be amazed you towed children every where for so many years and actually stayed close to sane! It will make you a better mom... serious.

i'm kinda jealous of you and ur no kids. it sounds so glamorous. u'll be able to fix ur hair and makeup just the way you like it and wear just want you want without kids wiping crusty hands on you or trying to pull down your skirt when they cry and hang on you.

then again...i'm sure i'll miss those things when i'm a "single" parent neked of kids. although...that's soooo far away i'm allowed to complain, right?

It sounds heavenly...I wish even ONE of my kids was in school. I know it's going to be a long winter for us!

Yes, you need a cricut...and you still need that new computer. :P Does the school have a cricut? We have one in the librarian's office, I just need to find some time to go learn how to use it. I hope Fred's teacher helps make math more fun and understandable.

You didn't tell me about the list! I thought you wanted a commercial powered cricut, not the actual cricut cricut...
