17...

This is my family in spring of 1995 right before my brother went on his mission.

I asked ElCid what he thought was important to me just in case I was missing something obvious and he said school (I had just finished a rant about PTSO & teacher involvement) and "Those Twilight books". I laughed and had to agree, books are huge with me.

I practically grew up at libraries, whenever we moved that was the first thing my mom would find. We always had library cards and library fines! I guess that is part of what has kept me away from libraries with my kids as well as there are only like 3 in Vegas and the closest is 10 minutes away. I know it's not that bad.

I also like having books. I would save every last penny of my babysitting money and buy books. I don't have nearly enough books currently. Maybe I should start saving my babysitting money again. :)

I started buying kid books once I found out I was pregnant with Fred. My kids have 700+ books on their shelves and I love buying them more (usually for 50 cents at DI) and I try to get them a little of everything so they can broaden their horizons. :) Fred loves to read and Jr & George love to be read to. I hope they will continue to love books and the stories they contain forever!

where did you even get that????? Sure, YOU look ok, but the rest of us could have crawled out of a radiated pit.

Maybe Peter and Rog need to talk about "those Twilight Books." :) Sarah and I love to go to story time at the library. I haven't been brave enough to check out any books yet as Sarah is known for chewing her own. Maybe when she's two ... we really do have a great library system here. We have several within a 5-10 minute drive or walk from us.
